  I realized I've been *hit on alot

  about a month ago, i realized that i didn't really care about my still-in jw family.

  i just want to be left alone by them.

  they caused me so much grief.

  PEER PRESSURE!!! I gave in to Pioneering during August...I feel dirty...

  ok, i'll admit it...i am weak.... as everyone knows, the pressure to "pioneer" during "the most momentous, awesome, amazing, centenary anniversay of jesus invisble kigdom rule, & distribute tracts about a dodgy website" campaign is very strong at the moment.... also, many will have read my threads about the extreme views and expectations in our cong for "all appointed men to pioneer" etc..... every elder and ms and their families have been announced as pioneering....i mean everyone's name was read out except mine..... i was not going to do it, as i do not believe anyone should be forced...(and of course its the last thing on earth i would rather do anyway since learning ttatt).

  but i am not quite ready to make the break yet, so i realised that i would stand out more if i didnt put in a form to pioneer.

  yes it would make me more conspicious, and make fading harder to do...it would bring more heat on me if i didnt pioneer.. so i gave in and submitted a form.... now, of course, i'm only going to make sure i'm seen at the key field service groups etc...but then go and do something more interesting...like count blades of grass..... ahh....i feel hypocritical to myself now......

  after venting's recent thread on the article on jw.org about the expirimental physicist who became a jw, i figured i'd post up my analysis/rebuttal of another similar article.

  when i was going through the process of cleaning out the last bits of doubt from myself, i read a few of these and wrote down my thoughts just because it felt good to actually express it all somehow.

  "Our faith is not blind faith that ignores the facts of science."

  Based on the reasoning that something complex needs an intelligent designer, where did that designer come from? Nowhere? Nothing? A fish needs a designer, but god doesn't? It's the equivalent of someone reasoning that a watch requires a designer, but a watch factory with a trained and experienced staff did not require design, training, or experience. It becomes infinite regression. And they're breaking their own rule requiring intelligent design when they dismissingly say, "Oh, gawd is different because he's always existed, like time and space." Really? This super-intelligent, all-powerful creator just "always existed"? So really, complexity can indeed come from absolutely nothing based on their explanation.

  By contrast, evolution becomes much less complex and evidence of evolution can be easily found. I need to look up the exact statistic... As a dude, I have 99.5% the same DNA as a male chimp. However, I have only 97.5% the same DNA as a woman. Explains why men act like apes sometimes, eh ladies?

  I would hesitate to call someone a hypocrite if they're stuck in. I consider WT to be the hypocrite.

  If someone knows TTATT but have to lay low in the organization, I'd call them "a victim caught in a trap that has to choose whether to stay where they are or chew their leg off in order to get free."

  at the international convention here i just got off the elevator with anthony morris.

  he was heading to the basement and i was heading up to administration.

  i rode one floor down with him before i went up to my destination.

  Just to fill you in on what you missed:

  • The wedding talk was a WT infomercial and went overtime.
  • The bridesmaids dresses were hideous and almost looked like burkas.
  • One of the toilets in the womens room plugged.
  • The reception was a cheap-ass affair in an overcrowded room with about a million kids running around screaming.

  Maybe they're pooling this mountain of cash in order to have a lavish anniversary celebration for the centenial of Jesus' invisible rule?
